Do first
Firewood & campfire
Fires are allowed in the cabin's ring. Estes Valley is under Stage 1 restrictions (since Sept 4, still posted): wood fires only in a permanent ring or a container built for fire. Keep it small, attended, and have water ready. Gusts up to about 26 mph Saturday, so douse it fully.
Sleeping
KOA's camping cabins are bring-your-own-linens: bare mattresses (full bed + bunks), heat, electric, no bathroom. Only Deluxe Cabins come with sheets, towels and a kitchen. Skip this section if you booked a Deluxe.
Clothes & layers
Per person: warm days, near-freezing nights at 7,500 ft, rain possible Sunday.
Kids
Winnie
The cabin pet fee is $25, paid at check-in. Leashes have to be 6 ft near other campers, and there's a dog park on site.
Food & snacks
Dinner is out. Camping cabins have no kitchen, and only some have a fridge, so plan on a cooler.
